WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL BE ABOUT:
In JYSK Logistics, Senior IT Systems Administrator position key responsibilities will be:
- Together with our IT Architects design standards in systems landscapes and implement them in current and new Distribution Centers across Europe and further.
- Take ownership of server projects, lead them to completion and ensure all tasks, including new implementations and upgrades, are executed efficiently and within agreed time schedules.
- Lead IT initiatives in performance & security within our server infrastructure: This includes the design and implementation of needed solutions, extend server analysis tools on both performance and security dimensions. The role also is expected to keep up with the latest server technologies to ensure our systems stay current and effective.
Responsibilities:
- Logistics IT Server Administration: coordinate tasks, resources within Logistics IT Infrastructure Team, in areas like:
- Performance Optimization & Compliance: take control of performance improvement tasks, high availability, and strict compliance with SLAs.
- Patching & Update Management: contribute to the plan and execution of software updates and system patch management.
- Service window coordination: Plan, coordinate, and schedule system downtimes for critical maintenances, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Advanced Troubleshooting and performance monitoring: Proactively configure, monitor, and audit IT systems to guarantee information about systems health, performance, high availability. Serve as an expert in diagnosing and swiftly resolving complex technical issues, minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Project Coordination & Manager: Partner with internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements and provide critical security and for new system deployments and IT initiatives.
- Documentation Excellence: Develop and maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation for all system configurations, processes, and architectural designs.
WHAT YOU MUST TO BRING:
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Senior IT System Administrator role, demonstrating a proven track record of managing complex enterprise IT environments.
- Good practice with enterprise-level IT security, including solutions like Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
- Senior-level proficiency in Windows Server administration (including Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting).
- Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere and practical experience or strong knowledge of Hyper-V & migration between such systems.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills with a systematic approach to technical challenges.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Focus on details and maintaining precise system records and documentation.
- Fluent in English.
- Service minded, proactive in addressing the real needs of users and colleagues
Recommended skills and qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
- Basic administration knowledge of Linux operating systems, which will be beneficial for our diverse environment.
- An understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VCP).
